UPDATE: Jack the Lad carries on as captain and point guard of the BHS JV, that recently extended its'  undefeated streak to 25 games while AJ the Elder has emerged as a Varsity glue guy. Dad remains consigned to pom-poms. January 2013

AJ and Brookline rebound over Needham

Hoop dreams abound! It’s opening night of the high School basketball season. The Little Urchin is manning the point for the freshman; the Big Galoot is a varsity sharp shooter and The Old Doof (that’s me!) is dusting off the pom poms in a last, desperate attempt to ward off irrelevancy.  November, 2012

Postscript: Jack the Lad's freshman Basketball team finished off the first undefeated basketball season (21-0) for any team in Brookline High School history tonight.  The Lad manned the point with his usual flair, handing out 9 assists. It was a great team that defined "chemistry" and a tremendously enjoyable season for all. Jack The Lad's Dad did an especially fine job on pom-poms even if Jack The Lad's Dad must say so himself.
