Winter Trees by William Carlos Williams

Winter Trees
by William Carlos Williams

All the complicated details
of the attiring and
the disattiring are completed!
A liquid moon
moves gently among
the long branches.
Thus having prepared their buds
against a sure winter
the wise trees
stand sleeping in the cold.

Had not read this and it's very beautiful. Life, generations, what parents do for their buds.

this is a great poem. Thanks for posting.

There is also a very subtly but GREAT film out about WCW called Patterson. Well worth it.

It is beautiful. Trees are a few of my favorite things.
